I had a pretty solid stay overall, but there were ups and downs. The room was absolutely stunning with a fantastic view, and I found the staff to be super helpful. However, the dining experience fell a bit short, especially at breakfast where the coffee and food quality could've been better.

My deluxe room had floor-to-ceiling windows with an amazing view of the Bund. The interior was really comfortable and well-equipped, making my stay enjoyable.
Service

The staff were friendly and attentive, especially Daisy and the floor team, who really made an effort to ensure we were comfortable during our stay.

The hotel is right on the Bund, making it super convenient to explore nearby attractions and markets.
Dining

Breakfast was a letdown, with fruit juices not being fresh and the coffee not tasting great. The rooftop bar seemed nice, but it was disappointing with the cooking smells from the BBQ grill.
Facilities

I didn't get a chance to use many facilities like the spa, since everything required a reservation, which was kind of a bummer since I wanted to relax.

I enjoyed my stay at The St. Regis On The Bund, especially the stunning views from my room and the attentive staff. However, my experience was mixed due to some issues, such as room cleanliness and dining quality that could use improvement. Overall, the hotel has potential but falls short in areas that are key for a luxury stay.

Rooms
8.0
My corner room offered amazing views and had all the comforts I expected, but the initial room I checked into had a strong cigarette smell.
Service
6.0
The staff overall were friendly, especially during breakfast, but some service aspects felt lacking for a five-star hotel. For example, during my pool visit, the staff mandated wearing a very smelly swimming cap, which was off-putting.
Location
9.0
The hotel's location is fantastic, right on the Bund and close to attractions like the Yu Garden. It's very convenient for exploring Shanghai's vibrant market scene.
Dining
5.0
Breakfast was quite average, with items like juice not freshly squeezed and coffee served cold. The rooftop dining experience was also disappointing due to smoke from cooking and noise from events.
Facilities
6.0
While the hotel offers several facilities, such as a spa and a pool, I found them to be somewhat inconvenient, like needing reservations for the spa and the pool having an unexpected fee.

My stay at The St. Regis On The Bund, Shanghai was a mixed experience. While the room was stunning and comfortable, the breakfast and some service aspects left much to be desired. The location is fantastic, offering amazing views of the city, but certain facilities were unexpectedly limited during my visit.

My room had a beautiful view and was well-appointed with all necessary features, making my stay quite comfortable. I really appreciated the floor-to-ceiling windows.

The staff were friendly, especially during breakfast, but overall service felt inconsistent for a luxury hotel. Some issues needed addressing, and responses could have been quicker.
Location
10.0
The hotel is brilliantly located on the Bund, with easy access to major attractions and markets, providing stunning views right from my room.
Dining

Breakfast was quite average, with inconsistencies like cold coffee and pulpy juice that wasn’t freshly squeezed. The rooftop dining had limited availability and was disappointing as well.
Facilities

I found the facilities were not fully accessible during my stay, particularly the rooftop restaurant and spa that had restricted hours and required reservations.

My stay had its ups and downs. I checked into a room that initially smelled of cigarette smoke, but after a couple of moves, I finally landed in a truly beautiful room with stunning views. The service was a mixed bag; while some staff were helpful, the breakfast experience left a lot to be desired, with cold coffee and poorly presented items.

Rooms
9.0
I ended up in a stunning room with floor-to-ceiling windows offering amazing views. The interior was luxurious and comfortable, making for a relaxing atmosphere.
Service
7.0
The concierge, Johnson, was incredibly helpful with booking taxis and train tickets. However, I noticed some staff were frequently distracted by their phones, which affected the service flow.
Location
10.0
The hotel's location is fantastic, right on the Bund and close to popular attractions. I loved being near the river with easy access to the vibrant market nearby.
Dining
6.0
Breakfast was pretty average; the juice was served from cartons, and the toaster was painfully slow. I expected more from a five-star hotel regarding food quality and presentation.
Facilities
5.0
I didn’t get a chance to explore the facilities much since the rooftop restaurant was closed early and the spa required reservations. The pool area was quite crowded, which was disappointing.

My stay at The St. Regis On The Bund, Shanghai was a mixed experience. The corner room upgrade provided a splendid view and comfortable amenities, but there were quite a few hiccups during my visit. While I enjoyed the room service and the champagne ritual, the dining options left something to be desired, and the staff's English proficiency could be improved.

Rooms
10.0
I was graciously escorted to an upgraded corner room, which was well-appointed and featured floor-to-ceiling windows, offering amazing views of the city. The interior was elegant, making my stay enjoyable.
Service
7.0
While the concierge was extremely helpful with arranging my transportation and requests, there was a noticeable language barrier with some staff members, which made the check-in process feel a bit chaotic. Overall, they did try to accommodate me under constraints.
Location
9.0
The location is fantastic and very close to major attractions, right along the river, making it easy to explore the Bund and surrounding areas. I found it ideal for strolling around Shanghai.
Dining
5.0
I was disappointed with the breakfast options. The coffee was cold, and the fruit juices didn’t seem fresh. I expected higher quality from a luxury hotel, especially considering the price point.
Facilities
6.0
Although the hotel offers nice facilities like a spa and a rooftop restaurant, I was unable to take full advantage of them. Reservation requirements and closures limited my experience, and the rooftop was closed for private events, which was frustrating.
